If the whole is equal to the sum of its parts than our "whole" cannot be reached until our parts are gathered and acknowledged. This blog will act as a collection, a gallery that records our “parts and particles” (our particulars) in an effort to connect the dots; to endlessly connect the dots.
i can relate to percepolis because of the way we both were made aware of politics. her parents exposed her to what was going on with thier country and i learned about politics mostly thru music.
ReplyDeleteKyrin, this is not a very thorough blog response. I need to know more about what kind of politics you were taught through music and what kind of poltics Marjane is taught. How were the experiences alike/different? How did you take what you learned through music and how does Marjane take and apply what she learns through her family? This needs a lot more analysis and reflection about why it matters that you can relate to Marjane and her political education.
